Merck Argentina: installation of a 300 kWp solar PV system

In 2024 we commissioned a ground-mounted solar PV system next to its Spegazzini plant, reducing the electricity it buys from the grid.

The starting point

Merck Argentina wanted to generate part of the energy for its Spegazzini plant with a solar installation that was safe, cost-effective and suited to its consumption profile.

What we did

  • We assessed the project’s feasibility based on electricity consumption, tariffs and available space.
  • We designed and simulated the installation, selecting components according to orientation, shading and site conditions.
  • We coordinated the civil and electrical works, the installation and the protections, and carried out the performance tests.

The result

A 300 kWp solar PV system in operation since 2024, reducing the electricity the plant buys from the grid and the emissions associated with its consumption.
